Siemens Step 7 FH CFC SYS_1

Level 1 PLC Course

Course Code: FH CFC SYS_1

Duration: 5 Days

Cost: To Be Advised

Course Summery:

This is a Customised course that is based on the Siemens S7, F&H PLC installations at each of the Irish Rail Level Crossings and includes an introduction to SCL, CFC, H & FH and Ffail Ssafe programming techniques used. It offers increased flexibility for program development. (I wouldn’t mention this as Irish Rail wouldn’t want changes on an ad hoc basis (Change Management etc)??

This specialised course provides the delegates with the necessary information and hands-on experience to efficiently interpret, troubleshoot, communicate and recommend a course of action for a stand alone installation in a downtime situation at an Irish Rail level crossing.

Course Objectives:

At the end of the course, students will be able to.....

  • Recognize the major components and connections of a Siemens Standard S7, H & F systems.
  • Appreciate the basic principles of operation of the complete system,
  • Electrical Drawings GA Arrangement of Equipment in Panels,
  • HMI Panels,
  • Siemens Logo PLC’s
  • Software structures in relation to URS and FDS & Electrical Drawings.
  • Use CFC, SCL, H & F Configuration software as a faultfinding tool.
  • Download a backup copy of application into an empty/new processor.
  • Understand Describe H and F configurable dynamic Library Function Blocks used and use this to interpret the program structures implemented within Irish Rail.
  • Modify control parameters such as Timer and Counter presets.
  • Introduce the Maintenance personnel to Change Management if in place.

Who Should Attend

This course is designed for individuals who will be developing programs for the S7 300-400 processors. This training is not appropriate for trainees using S7-200 based systems. It is also suitable  for indivduals looking to increase their knowledge and make modifications to existing programs.

  • Individuals who have responsibility for maintaining, trouble shooting existing Siemens S7 Standard, H, F & FH S7 range of PLC systems.Individuals who want to gain a better understanding / increase their knowledge of how the Siemens Standard, H, F and FH systems function. Appreciate the standards (SIL’s and Categories) associated with the Design, Development, Commissioning and Implementation of Revised Changes of such systems in the Transport industry.
  • Individuals who use and work with the systems on a daily basis, Electrical / Mechanical Crafts people, Design, Project, Commissioning Engineers. Operations personnel who operate the system being controlled by the siemens systems.

Course Prerequisites:

Experience of electrical controlled systems including an appreciation of where programmable controllers are used. A working knowledge of Microsoft Windows or NT 4.0 is essential

Follow-on Course:

  • S7 CFC Charts Functions;
  • S7 SCL programming;
  • Communications Point to Point (RS232, RS422/RS485, Ethernet, TCP/IP).
