Course Summery:

This five day course is designed to concentrate on the planning, design and start-up of Siemens PLC systems. Having completed the SI-S5SYS1 course the knowledge and skills acquired are consolidated and further enhanced.  

Course Objectives:

At the end of the course, students will be able to.....

  • Customize and Write sophisticated Step 5 programs using Function Blocks.
  • Critically Analyze and Optimize existing user programs.
  • Use PLC Test and Diagnostic Tools to trouble shoot Siemens Simatic S5 PLC systems.
  • Involve participants in workshops, designed to develop their own applications and advance their existing Step 5 programming skills.  

Who Should Attend

Individuals who have completed the Siemens Simatic Step 5 Level 1 course Ref. SI-S5SYS1.

Individuals who have responsibility for maintaining, trouble shooting existing Siemens SimaticPLC systems.

Individuals who want to develop and create sophisticated advanced programming techniques used in Siemens Simatic S5 PLC applications.

Course Prerequisites:

Course participants must have completed the Step 5 Level 1 course Ref. SI-S5SYS1.

While it is possible to participate in the Step 5 Level 2 training course without completing the Step 5 Level 1 course some students may find it to difficult coping with the many skills taught throughout the course.
